No Theme

Well, I uh...I sort of backed our van into our garage before the door was all the way up. Of course, it's an old door so we can't just replace the panel- we have to replace the whole door (two different companies told us the same thing). Ahhhhh!!

Devon and Em made an Asian lunch one day, complete with chopsticks and everything!

On Frozen Pond

Here's our favorite winter duck pond! It's frozen all the way across. One time we saw a man in the middle of the pond ice fishing. He had drilled a hole in the ice and was sitting on a chair in the middle of this ice mass, fishing! Another time we saw some boys playing ice hockey.
Nick, Devon, and Em discovered they could see all the way down to the bottom of the pond in certain clear spots. They could see frozen plants and algae type of stuff. It looks pretty solid all the way down. Where do all the fish go?

Cool Science

Dev and I found some cool science experiments online. In this one, you put some milk in a cup, add a few drops of food coloring, then...
...add a few drops of dish soap. Then watch the colors disperse and make cool designs!

This next one is called "elephant toothpaste." You fill a water bottle with some hydrogen peroxide. (a fourth way full). Then add 2 Tablespoons of dish soap to it. Mix some yeast with some water, then add it to the concoction in the bottle.

Tiffany and Tameeka thought there would be a loud sound because the boys said it would "explode." That's why they're plugging their ears!
Unfortunately my auto focus wasn't working (I didn't know that you just press a button on the camera to fix that!), but "elephant toothpaste" is a pretty fitting name for this!

A few random pics...

"Poor Deer!"

I don't have any pictures for this post, luckily! This morning I took the T's to Wal-Mart to do some exchanging of gifts. On our drive home, Tiffany exclaimed, "Look at that dead deer!" I asked if she had seen a dead deer on the side of the road and she said, "Yes, he wasn't up in the snow, he was dead! We need to do something for that deer." Then Tyrese and Tameeka began discussing how we would need to get a band-aid or a bandage for that poor deer.
Ty: "He need a big band-aid."
Tameeka: "A big giant band-aid!"
Tiffany: "No, not a big band-aid. Just a tiny little band-aid. Poor little deer!"
They were all pretty concerned, but they felt better after coming up with a solution on how we were going to take care of that poor deer!
