Zack and Allysa

We had a great time at Zack and Allysa's wedding reception! What a beautiful couple. Their temple sealing was wonderful and we're so glad we were able to come.

Cody and David did their traditional wedding song for the happy couple. It was a riot and a very catchy tune! Someday when they're famous, we can all say we knew them when they were wedding singers :)

Chickenpox!

Emily came down with the chickenpox the day before we left for Sparks! She had to miss out on some fun things, so Colin decided to buy her this huge teddy bear from Costco that she had been wanting. It definitely cheered her up!

Scouts

Devon received his First Class and the nuclear science merit badge- he might be one of the only boys in UT county to have earned that one!

Hammock

Colin bought this very comfy hammock. He put it on our balcony and the kids love to swing on! Emily, the twins, and their friend Ruby are shown in this picture. Sometimes I like to read in it during the early morning. I recommend hammocks!

Happy 19th and 37th Birthdays, Nic and Jen!

As we arrived at Chillis, something was up with the guys trying to look cool!
We were mobbed by the Paparazzi (aka "Calvin") as we came out of the restroom.
Guess whose dinner this is? Betcha think it's Colin's, right? It's mine! I am SO not a steak person, but for some reason I felt like it, plus it came highly recommended by Nic. It was awesome, and I'd get it again any time!

Pizza for Tameeka
Cheeseburger for Tiff, but she decided to share some of Tameeka's pizza.
Em and Dev shared a rack of ribs, and Ty got the cheeseburger.
I told Calvin I wanted to take his picture with the burger in it, so he made a Calvin burger. Colin got a cheeseburger with bacon and onion rings. YUM-O!

Back home for gifts!
This book is by Nick Vujicic. He was born without arms or legs. We've seen him on Youtube videos before, and he is truly an inspirational person. Check out the link below, and grab some kleenex, cuz you'll need it!!

I love this painting! Painter Liz Lemon Swindle (I saw her speak once and was fantastic!) went to Zambia so she could do some painting. Here's what is quoted on the back of this painting: "One of the first children I met was Kennedy, the little boy you see in the painting. At three years old he has lost both of his parents to AIDS and was found living alone with his six year old brother and ten year old sister. When I thought of those three children struggling to survive and the millions of others across Africa in similar circumstances, I felt an overwhelming hopelessness and said to myself, 'No amount of money can fix this.' Later that day while we were filming, Kennedy climbed into the arms of the man portraying the Savior. As I stood watching them, Kennedy turned towards me and our eyes met. At that moment I knew it wasn't hopeless. I realized that the Savior could fix not only the problems of Africa, but of the whole world...and we can be His hands to do it."

New Father and Son's Tradition

We were sitting around at home after finishing dinner, trying to think of something fun we could do. Colin and the boys would be heading to the Father and Son's camp out the next day. Em suggested we do a family camp out that night! So, at 7pm the decision was made, and by 8pm we were at Mutual Dell camp site in the AF Canyon! Calvin and Devon set up the tent in the dark, and Em was the lantern lady. By 10:00 the tent was set up and most of us crashed. Colin, Calvin, and Devon stayed up until about 1:15am, talking by the campfire, making owl sounds, and searching for the owl that was answering Devon back!

We all drove home around noon the next day, then Colin and the boys headed back up to camp for the Father and Son's.
