Family trip to the water park

A few days after Colin got back from HI, we took a family trip back to the water park.  Here's some beautiful peacocks at the hotel we stayed at.

First 2 stoves for Calvin's Eagle Project

We have begun the stove project for Calvin's Eagle!

This woman had her baby 3 weeks ago.

Here is where she currently cooks.  Do you see the black wall?  I imagine that is what the lungs look like after many years of cooking in an open stove in the middle of the house (which is small and only one room). 

Changing the health of the future.  I'm so glad Calvin is doing this as his Eagle Project so this cute little baby girl (and many others) can grow up in a home where smoke doesn't fill her lungs each day, and where the risk of getting burns is greatly diminished.

Here's what we did while Colin was in HI

We kept very busy while Colin was in HI for 2 weeks.  We did lots of things, and here's some of the highlights: 

played at the Dennings (the kids love jumping off the roof and onto the trampoline! 

Greg and Calvin made a chicken tractor

Rachel and I did hair

Kyah gave Em cooking instructions while her hair was being done (here they're playing thumb war)

Delicious home made cinnamon rolls!

Ty was sick the morning after Colin left, so he enjoyed some tea and toast in my room.  Luckily we hit it hard with the oils, so his breathing improved greatly and he was good to go!

Em and I learned how to make jewelry....Gabriella style! 

We planted our garden boxes that Colin, Calvin, and Devon made 

Rachel and I worked on doTERRA and ate popcorn (we both look pretty tired, don't we?!)  

We bought some meat chicks 

I got bit by some insects (black nat type things) and my ankle got so swollen that it was hard to walk and it looked like I had edema....apparently I'm allergic to them.  Thanks again oils, for getting my ankles all better!

Calvin gave Parker a drawing lesson

Emily and Kyah spent $14 on this can of pumpkin so they could make a pumpkin pie!  Here they are hiding after telling me the total cost (gotta love imports!)

The pies were worth every pennie, girls!  Great work!!

When we went to the Jensen's for our Spanish lesson, there was some drama!  One of their mama bunnies had babies, and they didn't even know one was pregnant, or which one was the mom!  They found several baby bunnies in the lawn.  Finally they figured out who mama was, but by the next day the babies had all died.   Sad, but such is the circle of life.

These cute kiddoes (and a couple more who didn't make it to the picture) made some very tasty muffins!

Home made chia seed pudding!

I took the kids out for lunch as a reward for completing all their math assignments that week.  Circus bar- yummy yummy food:)

Berta's (housekeeper) sister makes Guatemalan tamales every Sat. night, so we decided to buy some.  Not bad, but we do prefer the Mexican style tamales better.  These are wrapped up in banana leaves, and the inside is mushy rice, a small chunk of chicken, and some sauce.  Always fun to try something new!
