We did the majority of b-day celebrating with Devon the Saturday before his birthday. The day started with a backyard cleanup project. We borrowed a trailer and hauled all our junk off to...

...the dump!

The dump is a very exciting place. Big tractors charge full speed at huge piles, and the piles get taller and taller. I stayed in the car with Em and the triplets. Ty was very excited watching the big trucks and would burst out with phrases such as, "
ooooo lookit the big truck!" Calvin and Devon had a ball chucking junk into the pile.

Then we went to the duck pond just behind Lone Peak High School. The pond was no longer frozen and the ducks weren't acting hungry. Nevertheless, we kept throwing chunks of bread to them. I asked the girls to do something funny, hence the above poses!

What handsome boys!

Skipping rocks.

After the duck pond adventure, Colin dropped myself and the triplets at home, and he took the older kids
geocaching!

They climbed pretty high in search of
buried treasure.

Here's one of the caches they found.
