Happy Thanksgiving!
Yeah, I'm finally caught up! The kids all played together lots and lots today so I could catch up on our blog. They made a huge fort out of all their mattresses, pillows, and blankets! After cleaning it all up, they watched a "Winnie the Pooh" movie. Now we're going to watch "Little House on the Prairie." Em has been reading the book series and loves it! So, we got a couple of the movies at the library. We watched some of the first movie last night. It was the very first movie of the series, which I had never seen. For Christmas, the Ingals girls got a peppermint stick and a tin cup, and Caroline got sweet potatoes! They were all so excited! I love that! I love that kind of simplicity and gratitude over small gifts! So kids, I hope you like your new tin cups, and sticks of candy this year! Instead of sweet potatoes though, could you get me some avocados and persimmons? Thanks!
Remember the posts about the baby bunnies? Well, they have grown quite a bit, wouldn't you say? We gave 2 away to some friends, so we were left with 5. They were getting difficult to take care of. Emily was the one feeding and watering them every day, and having so many, they went thru food fast! So, we put them up on KSL for sale at $3 a pop.

We knew these very cute pictures would make our bunnies go fast. However, the day after we posted their pictures on KSL, we came home from errands with a bit of an unpleasant surprise. There was a dead bunny right beside Keta's dog house! The twins started to cry saying, "I want my bunny!" "It's okay," I said, "we'll go outside and get you another bunny." Em and Colin went out, and turns out, there was only one surviving bunny! Well, 2, but that one was suffering so Colin "took care of it." (He still won't tell me how he did it because he knows I'd be freaked out, but he didn't enjoy the experience one bit. "I'm not a killer," he said.) Anyway, Emily took it all in stride and later remarked, "well, at least I won't have as many to take care of!" The twins got over it as well, after lots of distraction. 
Naughty Keta! We were told by the Stirlings that she's a "very smart dog," and they were right! We found out Keta's mom did the same thing with some of the Stirling's bunnies! Must be in her blood. Anyway, she got past the lock on the bunny cage that was kind of loosely on, pushed the latch open with her paw or her nose, and jumped in the cage. The funny thing is, I saw her in the bunny cage once before! I was outside and heard her whimpering. There she was, calmly sitting with all the bunnies in their cage, and not able to get out! I thought it was so cute how she was so friendly with the bunnies. Evidently, things changed! 
Em has been training Keta with this squirt bottle. Whenever she jumps on us, nips, or tries to come in the house, she gets squirted. It seems to be working out quite well! Too bad we weren't home to squirt her when she was having her fun with the bunnies!
The kids made this gigantic snowman! To get an idea how tall it is, know that Calvin is about 5'8". Yep, he officially passed me up in height and I could hardly believe it when we measured back to back!
I told the kids I've never seen a snowman with a beard! Creative! They used fresh white snow for the beard. At first I thought it was a bunch of cotton balls.
Devon and Ty made this snowman, and used an orange marker for the face.
This is a persimmon. I just discovered that I love them! So, if you haven't had a persimmon lately, get some. I believe there are persimmons that are for baking only, and others you can eat raw. I found these at Costco. My grandma used to make persimmon pudding to die for!
Brothers always! I'm glad Calvin and Devon will be able to help Ty make his Pinewood Derby car before they leave for their missions! It's so fun watching everyone grow up and seeing sibling bonds strengthen.

Homework and comics
Devon made a rocket in scouts. It launched super high! He told me he cut a hole in the parachute on purpose so it would come down faster, so he could launch it more often!
Dev and Em were practicing their kicks! What flexibility!
Ok, I didn't know about this until I found it on the camera. Apparently, the kids made masks out of tin foil. Looks pretty cool!

The boys love reading "The Hardy Boys" series- the old ones, not the newer ones! 
After we got home from church last week, I realized I hadn't seen Devon or Ty for quite awhile. I finally found them in the lounge! They had been sneaking around making nachos to snack on, and reading together! So cute! Ty loves big brother time.
One day the twins decided it would be fun to sit in soup pots. So they did! 
Emily and I were doing school on the front porch one day, so Tiffany joined us. She's learning her letters!
