San Francisco

We took a fun 4 day trip to San Francisco to meet with a new IPC, Gabriella, who we met in Guatemala.  We also did some sight-seeing!

Lombard Street.  Everyone was fascinated watching our big blue van come down this street, that many would take pictures of us as we came down the road.
Gabriella and I made some great "cold call" visits to high-end spas in downtown SF.
Gabriella and Vedantin have some pretty cool instruments from all around the world.  We had a music party at their home!

Delicious lunch!  I ate a wonderful raw wrap from a restaurant which I wish was always right around the corner no matter where I am. Also enjoyed some Chai (lots of different herbs) tea.  It was fun sitting Asian style on the floor!

The older kids and I had a great time at Vedantin's yoga class.  The "happy CA cow" and cricket really got us laughing!
The twins were SO excited to get these new little stuffed animal ponies! Tiffy got one because she stopped sucking her fingers.  Tameeka got one because she had 3 teeth pulled (the permanent ones had completely come in, and nothing was falling out in front, so our good friend Roger Harding did the job for us).  Tyrese later found a really cool umbrella with dragons on it  at China Town, which he was awarded for not sucking his thumb any more.  Incentives work great!

On an old war ship from WW11

Our old ward in Sparks was having an activity in SF the same time we were there, so Calvin and Devon got to meet up with them!  They went to Alcatraz, then to an A's game, then to the temple in Oakland where we met up with them.  So much fun!

Talking with the sister missionaries in the Oakland Temple Visitor Center.
So fun to catch up with these boys again, some of whom we've known since they were little kids!
