Monkey hotel and kayaking

Costa Rican pineapples are the sweetest we've ever tasted!

Tiff earned this toucan pencil holder by doing lots of dish washing and other chores!
Colin is a good sport to occasionally let the girls give him a make-over!

We were driving to a place to go kayaking, and stopped off to find a hotel.  The kids and I checked out this first place (we ended up not staying there), while Colin was on a conference call.  I wondered what I could do with the kids to keep us occupied for the next 45 min, and my questions was answered as we started seeing wild monkeys in the trees!  They were so fun to watch, and kept us well entertained (especially the one that bore his teeth at Em while she was holding a banana out to him), for the duration of the call!

This mama kept swatting her baby's arm away so he wouldn't take her banana!

Scarlet macaws flying wild!

We kayaked to a little island that had sand/mud like quicksand! The kids soon discovered that they could jump and sink very far down.  Mud fights ensued, and the kids had a blast!
