| Sunday night we had the Jensens and Dennings over for dinner. It was David's 3rd birthday. Emily and Kyah made a delicious chocolate zucchini carrot cake. Yum! |

| Pauline, the Branch President's wife, and I. It was Fast and Testimony meeting at church, and Pauline shared her testimony with the congregation. She spoke tearfully and gratefully of her children who are serving missions, and her son who is preparing to go. We found out after church that this was the second time in her whole life that she has shared her testimony at church! She is very shy and quiet, and I'm sure getting up in front of everyone terrifies her. Her spirit is so strong- what an amazing righteous woman who goes about her life in a humble, courageous way. |

| We bought Ty, Tiff, and Tameeka these awesome Guatemalan back packs for our plane ride to Hawaii. We filled them full of activities (stickers, pens, notepads, etc.). |

| These nice women sell purses, rugs, table cloths, etc. on the street called Santander. They were fascinated with the girls, as are most people. They love to touch their hair! The twins asked me if they could give this woman a hug. So they gave her a hug, which she thought was the cutest thing ever! |

| Emily made these amazing figurines out of clay! They all represent people we see here in Guatemala. The first is a woman riding on a donkey, a woman holding a baby, a woman holding a baby with a basket of oranges on her head, a woman with a basket of tortillas on her head, and a woman with a baby and a traditional braid on her head. |

| Colin, Greg, and the older kids did the zip line (Em's first time- she loved it!). Lucy and I took the younger kids on a hike, then we all met at this fun park, where the younger kids could do their own "zip line." |

| Something that Calvin has wanted to do since we got here, was to hike a volcano! So they did. Devon and Emily wanted to come too...next time for sure! Colin, Calvin, Greg D and Greg J all headed out around 6:30am and took a boat over to San Pedro where the hike began. Three and a half hours up and an hour and a half back. Calvin and Greg D. "tanked it" and made it up pretty efficiently. Extremely steep and tough, but they had a great time. Greg taught Calvin and seminary lesson (well, more of a lesson on "life" and planning for the future by figuring out what Calvin wants most out of life- he's been a great mentor!) as they hiked. Greg J stayed back with Colin...they had fun talking about all sorts of topics (homesteading I'm sure!). Thanks Gregs, for being great guides and friends! |

| Our kids babysat the Dennings and Jensens after our fun day of service! Us adults went out to a nice Japanese restaurant for dinner, then tried to go dancing (a woman in our ward had invited us but we couldn't figure out where it was), and then out to ice cream. Thank you kids, for your hard work babysitting, and getting fabulous meals like this on the table for all 15 kids! You guys rock:) |

| Another exciting walk up to a home where we installed the second stove! We had to cross this stream with a bunch of really heavy stuff (we left that to the guys who did an amazing job!). The women up above were getting a kick out of us trying to get all our kids across the stream. Here we were being all careful, and trying to figure out how to get across without falling in the "grey water". They were on a bridge above us giggling! They are all so used to crossing, and their kids literally trot across the rocks with ease and skill just from doing it all day long. Luckily we all made it across with no problems. |

| The triplets and I spent some time around the back of the house (I guess this would be considered the backyard?) because the home was so tiny, and there wasn't enough room for all of us. These kids were chasing a neighbor chicken for a while, then they decided to play marbles. We may think this looks like such a rough life, and it certainly is in many ways....but is a game of marbles in a small dirt back yard better than entertaining themselves by playing violent video games like many children this age do? I think so:) |
