Chichen-Itza and Uxmal

We thought this was a Bahai temple so we took a picture for Amy,  but then we realized it was a golfing place!

We stayed at this very cool hotel that was the home to at least a dozen cats! One of the owners is a cat-lover, so she takes in strays and babies, and feeds them.  Luckily we were camping outside, so no cat allergies for us! The twins loved playing with the little kittens.

The ancient Mayan people used to play a game where they would throw the ball (using their hips and bouncing it into the air) into this hole.  There were some great acoustics in the arena.

This little woman was so adorable, that Tiffany just had to buy a little hand quilted handkerchief from her! She wasn't too thrilled about smiling for the camera though!

Iguana!

A man hand-carving a figurine.

"Don't feed the wildlife" said the sign (but this little chunk of apple should be ok....)

Don't choke!

Gimme a kissie!

Nice photo-bomb, Calvin!

Observing in the observatory

This was a very interesting light show depicting the creation (I think.....it was all in Spanish) and some Mayan folklore.
